·Develops strategies to achieve aggressive cost savings and value-add goals within the categories under management. Work with Line Manager to agree on savings targets that are consistent with team objectives. Agree and track savings with corresponding business partners. Report on savings to Line Manager as required.
·Provide detailed commodity analysis to support procurement decisions, including recent economic/market trends and developments and other external factors. Compare current practices with industry best practice and propose change strategies. Develop innovative commodity strategies to drive best value for the business.
·Creates and manages competitive RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, leveraging eSourcing tools and 3rd parties, where applicable.
·Develop negotiation strategy and conducts negotiations either as part of core team or on individual basis (after review with Manager).
·Ensure that the provisions of the China Non-merchandise Procurement policy are adhered to appropriately and that suitable contract provisions are in place with key vendors, providing support to business in agreeing and drafting contract terms and managing liaison with Legal when required.
·Support business partners in their ownership of key vendor relationships, acting as a point of escalation to resolve issues.
·Implements supplier development and evaluation programs (i.e. managing Supplier Business Reviews and follow-up action plans where necessary) to ensure suppliers provide quality service and goods to the company. Drive completion of multiple simultaneous projects by proactively considering new alternatives.
·Drives results and provides ongoing management of developed sourcing and/or outsourcing strategies.
·Develops and builds relationships with suppliers providing products and services to China, while acting as a point of escalation to resolve issues.
·Bachelor's degree (Master’s Degree preferred): business administration, supply chain management, or related discipline.
·8 years professional experience in Strategic Sourcing operations or consulting, inventory management, logistics or supply chain.
·Proven experience in dynamic organization with experience and exposure in advanced sourcing strategies.
·Able to influence people up to board level and develop relationships with key business partners to form on-going partnerships.
·Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
·Strong communication and negotiation skills.
·Excellent problem solving analysis and decision making skills; drive for results of complex business issues.
·Proven project management experience.
