Position Description -Supplier Development Manager


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Scope.
–All direct material suppliers for Weidmuller China (Suzhou and Shanghai).
·Supplier Management System.
–Discuss with Headquarter in Germany and implementation the global process in China, like supplier on-boarding, rating, development.
–Discuss with other departments, like Quality and Logistics to setup and maintenance local supplier management system together.
–Discuss, implement and maintain supplier rating/evaluation system Setup and maintenance supplier online system for publishing forecast and performance to supplier.
–Discuss and implement general standards of supplier compliance to monitor and coach the suppliers to perform the code of conduct, like EHS, ethics, Supplier AVL maintenance.

·Supplier Performance Management.
–Lead the issues, discussions, meetings of the cross-functional supplier management team (Purchasing, Quality and Logistics) regarding supplier.
–Lead periodic supplier performance assessment by working with related.
–Lead regular review of supplier performance with Supplier Quality and Logistics MRP leaders.
–Monitor supplier performance on monthly base.
–Report supplier performance on monthly base, analyze the root cause and Set up supplier basic training system to make our requirements understood clearly by suppliers.
–Lead the cross-functional supplier management team to set up the tools, roadmaps, processes of Supplier Development Projects.
–Coordinate to identify the Supplier Development Projects in terms of entire supplier performance indicators together with related functions.
–Monitor, track and report the status of supplier development projects with Supplier Quality Leaders.
–Lead and roll out the general standards to optimize the supply chain, like Logistics Agreements and VMI as demand.

·Purchasing Data Management.
–Purchasing spending data analysis.
–Supplier performance data analysis.
–SAP data analysis.

REQUIRMENT:

·Bachelor degree, mechanical, Electrical preferred, MBA preferred.
·10 years experiences in purchasing, supplier quality, supplier development, supply chain management.
·Good and fluent English ability both in speaking and written.
·Familiar with supplier management process.
·Ability of project management, risk management, time management, conflict management and communication management.
·Basic knowledge’s of production process, such as die casting, stamping, injection, PCBA, Relay, Power Supplier, and HDC etc.
·Basic knowledge electro mechanic/electronic industry.
·Strong analytical ability with logical thinking.
·Specialized knowledge in supplier quality, process control.
·Familiar with ISO 9000, TS16949 preferred.
·Ability of working under pressure.
·Team player.
·Strong SAP skills in MM and PP module, 3 years SAP key users experience.
